One of my fondest memories of #filmschool was #pitchday. For me it was a day that brought on anxiety because I felt I lacked the confidence to push my idea forward. Instead I was happier to sulk in the back of the class and watch more confident classmates pitch half baked ideas that were eventually the ones we were all assigned to help on. I recall being annoyed that we were told to work on an idea that we didn’t fully support. But an idea that is presented - bad or good - is still better than one that stays in the back of the class in your head.
I remember pitch day on every big moment in my current career. You may not be the loudest or boldest but find that confidence within yourself to bring YOUR idea to fruition. You will always have people in your life that think they have the better idea but you should never let that crush your own. Believe in yourself and direct your own future.
